LEE COUNTY, Fla. - A woman was arrested for stealing a golf cart on Fort Myers Beach Thursday.

While being booked into the Lee County Jail, Yadira Valentin made a funny face for her mug shot, according to Lee County deputies.

Lee County deputies said she was arrested for third-degree felony grand theft. The Lighthouse Resort on Fort Myers beach reported the stolen Polaris golf cart on Thursday.

Video surveillance from the resort depicts a woman stealing the golf cart early in the morning, according to Lee County deputies.

Deputies saw a suspicious person near Shrimp Boat Lane where they also saw a golf cart parked outside a home. Deputies knew the homeowner and also knew the golf cart didn't belong there.

The homeowner confirmed with deputies that he was letting Valentin temporarily stay at the home. Valentin appeared to be wearing the same clothes seen in the surveillance video, according to Lee County deputies.

The Lee County Sheriff's Office posted a collage of Valentin's prior mugshots, with the most recent being on Aug. 20 for possession of a controlled substance.
